BAN is one of my favourite black metal bands, and this album is a great example as to why; psychedelic, atmospheric black metal that's enjoyable to listen to the whole way through!
This album reminds me of their 777 series, which is probably why I like it more than anything else they've done recently. Black Metal is easily one of my most-favoured genres when it's not held back by it's stupid conventions that 'trve kvlts' love to upheld. thrashing_fairy

Portal is a truly grandiose Metal experience (whether speaking of albums or seeing them live) with an epic catalog. Ion and Vexovoid are my favorites. DOOM

I love the more melodic side of BAN (like everyone else) but I haven’t always liked the production on the Bizarro world stuff. This album has suitably heavy and full production to accompany its nightmarish visions. Metallurgical Fire

My dearest Portal album. The guitar tuning is otherworldly, riffing speed meteoric, and overall density greater than a brood of black holes. The Curator has never sounded more ravenous for souls. Beyond Death Metal. Sugammadex
